Fundada en Årdal en Noruega en 1977 por Svein Dag Hauge (guitarras) y Per Hillestad (batería), y en un principio era una banda instrumental de jazz / rock. El álbum debut "Lava" se publicó en 1979. Del álbum "Cruisin" (1981), el bajista y el teclista fueron reemplazados por nuevos músicos: Rolf Graf (bajo), Per Kolstad (teclados), Sigurd Køhn (saxofón), Marius Müller (guitarra).
