ALTHEA RENE · FLAWSOME

Flawsome es el octavo lanzamiento de Althea en una carrera que abarca más de 20 años. Nacida en Detroit, Michigan, comenzó su viaje musical a la tierna edad de cuatro años. Estudió música clásica mientras asistía a la Universidad de Howard en Washington DC y más tarde se inspiró en los logros de Yusef Lateef, Ian Anderson y su padre, uno de los Funk Brothers originales de Motown, Dezie McCullers.


En Flawsome, además de Althea, quien toca la flauta como su instrumento favorito, encontramos como músicos colaboradores a Demetrius Nabors (teclados), Robert Skinner (bajo), Gary Johnson, Andrew Freeman y Jas Miller (guitarra), Nate Winn, Eric Valentine (batería), Chris "Big Dog" Davis, Lew Laing (programación de batería, bajo de teclado, teclados, arreglos rítmicos y productor), Euge Groove, Jeanette Harris (saxo), Andrew Dorsett (teclado y programación) y Dwight Adams (trompeta ).




Flawsome is Althea’s eighth release in a career that has spanned over 20 years. Born in Detroit, Michigan, she began her musical journey at the tender age of four. She studied classical music while attending Howard University in Washington D.C. and later gained further musical inspiration from the accomplishments of Yusef Lateef, Ian Anderson, and her father, one of Motown’s original Funk Brothers, Dezie McCullers.

In Flawsome, in addition to Althea, who plays the flute as her favorite instrument, are named as musicians colaborators Demetrius Nabors (keyboards), Robert Skinner (bass), Gary Johnson, Andrew Freeman and Jas Miller (guitar), Nate Winn, Eric Valentine (drums), Chris “Big Dog” Davis, Lew Laing (drum programming, keyboard bass, keyboards, rhythm arrangements and producer), Euge Groove, Jeanette Harris (sax), Andrew Dorsett (keyboard and programming) and Dwight Adams (trumpet).
