Ya está disponible el nuevo sencillo del saxofonista de jazz urbano Reggie Codrington, "Sunny Skies", escrito con el bajista y productor Darryl Williams. Un R&B a medio tiempo, mezclado por e Euge Groove, presenta las conmovedoras expresiones de saxo soprano de Codrington y la trompeta de su padre de 82 años que está luchando contra el Alzheimer.
Codrington y Williams conectaron hace unos años en una sesión improvisada. Williams envió una pista al saxofonista, quien escribió las melodías para "Sunny Skies". The new single from urban jazz saxophonist Reggie Codrington, "Sunny Skies", written with bassist and producer Darryl Williams, is now available. A part-time R&B, mixed by Euge Groove, presents the moving expressions of Codrington's soprano saxophone and the 82-year-old father's trumpet that is fighting Alzheimer's.
Codrington and Williams connected a few years ago in an impromptu session. Williams sent a hint to the saxophonist, who wrote the tunes for "Sunny Skies." With Williams programming the drum tracks, playing bass and piccolo and synthesizer keyboards, Codrington with a special curved saxophone, designed to overcome his physical limitations. Guitarist Darrell Crooks, who has recorded with Grammy winners Eric Clapton, Boyz II Men, Ledisi, Gregory Porter and Kirk Whalum, and Rymand Entezari who brings his electric piano.
