Nacido en Aachen, Alemania, el 26 de marzo de 1998, Simon desarrolló rápidamente el interés musical. Inspirado por la batería de su padre y el canto de su madre, tuvo una fuerte conexión con todo tipo de música desde el principio. No tardó mucho en abandonar la música infantil y sumergirse en el mundo de la colección de discos de su padre, que consistía en rock clásico, blues y soul.
Simon comenzó a tocar la batería a la edad de dos años y, solo un par de años después descubrió el órgano Hammond B3 cuando su padre trajo a casa una grabación de John Mayall y los Bluesbreakers con Tom Canning en el órgano. Simon se enganchó después de escuchar el primer par de notas: fue el comienzo de una conexión profunda con el órgano y su entorno musical.

Born in Aachen, Germany, on March 26, 1998, Simon quickly developed musical interest. Inspired by his father's drums and his mother's singing, he had a strong connection to all kinds of music from the start. It didn't take long for him to abandon children's music and dive into the world of his father's record collection, which consisted of classic rock, blues, and soul.
Simon started playing drums at the age of two and, just a couple of years later, discovered the Hammond B3 organ when his father brought home a recording of John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers with Tom Canning on the organ. Simon was hooked after listening to the first couple of notes - it was the beginning of a deep connection to the organ and its musical environment.
During the first years after his first encounter with the Hammond organ, Simon developed his musicality by playing blues records by ear, eager to discover what his heroes played on recordings. His progress was rapid and by the time he took his first classical piano lessons at age 8 he was already a capable blues pianist / organist and had gained his first experience playing in various local bands.
In the following years, Simon gained more experience playing in large local bands and various other jazz ensembles in Germany and the Netherlands, won several Jazz Awards, and worked with great teachers and mentors, most notably one of his favorite pianists, Frank Chastenier.
Still in the middle of high school, 2010 was the year Simon started playing professionally at the age of 12. He teamed up with his close friend, drum virtuoso Jérôme Cardynaals, and formed Twogether. The duo instantly won 3 awards at the prestigious Prinses Christina Jazz Concours in Amsterdam, which served as a great career start. In their 10 years of playing together, Simon and Jérôme's dream team has traveled across Europe, worked with several jazz greats (Dr. Lonnie Smith, Nils Landgren a.o.) and produced two critically acclaimed albums.
At the same time, these events also started Simon's solo career. At 21, he is currently touring the world with some of the most acclaimed artists in the music business with the mission of making the world a more moving place and spreading love through music.
Simon has recently become a member of German drum legend Wolfgang Haffner's band, as well as the new band of American saxophone icon Bill Evans, "Bill Evans and The Spykillers." Starting in 2019, he joined the jazz quartet of singer eThomas Quasthoff.
In 2020, it's time for Simon's first launch as a leader. Their debut album "About Time" was released on January 31, 2020 on Leopard Records. Consisting of Oslender's new original compositions that also feature an exciting cast of special guests: Randy Brecker, Bill Evans, Wolfgang Haffner, Christopher Dell and Ricky Peterson (who also appear as co-producer) are among those who helped make the Simon's dream was a reality.
