The legendary live performance of the late Valerie Carter, the world's most beloved Los Angeles diva! relive here! December 20, 1994 Yoshiyuki Sahashi's first solo album "TRUST ME" was released at The Garden Hall in Ebisu. A solo concert featuring the long-awaited appearance of the legendary Valerie Carter.

Engaged in hit songs with Keisuke Kuwata, Kazumasa Oda, Masaharu Fukuyama, Fumiya Fujii and being tour support for many artists including Tatsuro Yamashita.
Very creative on recordings, from Timpan & Niagara legends to new generation artists, Yoshiyuki Sahashi, currently collaborating progressively and transgenerationally, welcomed Valerie Carter to a solo concert after the release of her first solo album. The co-star of gorgeous Japanese musicians and Valerie has become a valuable gem that can only be heard in this work! In this edition, exclusively Japanese we find as an additional track, 2 songs from the performance held at Minami Aoyama MANDALA on December 18 of the same year.

Valerie Carter was an American singer-songwriter who had a successful career as a solo artist and guest artist "on demand". She started her career singing in coffee shops as a teenager, eventually becoming a third of the country folk band "Howdy Moon". Although they debuted at the legendary Troubadour in Los Angeles in 1974, their only album is now quite dark. However, it is notable for Carter's song "Cook With Honey," later a hit for Judy Collins, and for Carter's presentation to Lowell George, who produced the next album. He would be her mentor until her death in 1979 and introduced him to Jackson Browne, James Taylor, and many of the artists he would work with throughout his career. Her first solo album, "Just A Stone's Throw Away" featured an impressive array of guest artists from the 1970s Southern California music scene. The album was well received and garnered rave reviews and placed it as the opening act of the Eagles in Europe. Two years later she released another album "Wild Child", and started traveling with various artists, mainly James Taylor, Jackson Browne and Linda Ronstadt.

Carter then released another solo album "The Way It Is" with an incredible roster of artists and musicians, including Phoebe Snow, Lyle Lovett, Edwin McCain, James Taylor, Linda Ronstadt and Jackson Browne. Although the United States gave little promotion to this record, it has remained one of the best "rare" records out there. Japan released a limited edition of this CD with an additional song by Tom Snow. Two years later she followed with the EPs "Find a River", Vanilla Grits and a compilation CD "Midnight Over Honey River".

Valerie passed away from a heart attack on March 4, 2017. After her death, her sister and long-time friend Kathy Kurasch found song tapes that Valerie had recorded but were never released. They featured an impressive array of guest artists, musicians, and songwriters, including Prince, Lowell George, members of Little Feat, Linda Ronstadt, Nicolette Larson, Steve Tyrell, David Lasley, Will Jennings, Tom Snow, and more. In December 2018, "The Lost Tapes" was released on Cowboy Angel Records and Hyabusa-Landings
