Jordi Esquerra
Feb. 5,2021

Independent guitarist, singer/songwriter and producer from Barcelona. Introduced to music from an early age, he began playing piano in the local conservatory, later moved to guitar and got into modern music.

After being in different bands as a guitarist and composer, on 2016 he debuts as a solo artist and starts to sing and produce his own songs that combine authentic groovy soul and R&B tunes with strong epic melodies moving the audience from a happy casual vibe and every-day-life lyrics to trascendence.

NOS is the acronym for “New Old Stock”, it defines the status of a product manufactured years ago but still in perfect shape as it’s still in its original package and therefore never used. These products are often highly appreciated, especially by collectors and nostalgics, as they may not be manufactured anymore.

Likewise, this EP is formed by compositions that are some years old, never published, that have been reinterpreted by the artist and redirected in a new production style as a previous step to what will be his next studio work with new compositions.

Its songs are a tribute to life and to optimism, a call to find happiness in small things, daily life and unfavorable circumstances. It’s the artist’s particular view about the important role that plays our conscience when translating emotionally everything that surrounds us and everything that happens and, therefore, define the impact on ourselves.

For the occasion, he’s had Josh Wallace on percussion from the other side of the Atlantic and the new british promise, Alexander Bone, on sax.
