Timeless in a way that few other are artists today are, The Spinners are ‘Back Again’ – and as smooth and soulful as ever. This summer, the iconic vocal quintet returns with their first all-new, original album in nearly four decades: the aptly-titled, ‘Round the Block and Back Again’ (Peak Records), out August 27, and now available for pre-order.

Throughout the years The Spinners have topped both the Pop and R&B charts with a catalogue of hits beloved across generations, including “I’ll Be Around,” “Could It Be I’m Falling In Love,” “Then Came You,” “The Rubberband Man,” and many more; and earning six Grammy nominations, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and selling millions of records worldwide in the process.

With ‘Round the Block and Back Again, The Spinners right where they left off. “Cliché,” the album’s just-released lead single, shows the group at their velvety, multi-octave best, melding buttery harmonies with breathtaking vocal acrobatics…and of course, a few wise words on romance. The Spinners have perfected the art of the love song over the course of their 60-year career, and on ‘Round the Block and Back Again, longing, love, and heartbreak are still very much on the menu.

Timely yet timeless– from the very relevant ode to love in the age of COVID, “Missing Your Embrace,” to the classic jazz of “Show Me Your Heart”– the 2021 Spinners navigate the sands of time as seamlessly as ever. The album’s producer, Preston Glass, studied at the feet of Thom Bell, who guided band’s creative blossoming throughout the 1970s, and it shows.

“I wanted to emphasize to the listener that these guys are the real deal– still, today, with a virtually new line-up,” says Glass of working on the record. “And the phrase, ‘Round The Block And Back Again’ came to my mind when describing this project and these gentlemen. It was so inspiring for me to produce and write songs for this new album– and I was honored that original member, Henry Fambrough, still leading the group through its vocal paces, gave the stamp of approval to do so.”

Fambrough is joined by Jessie Peck, Marvin Taylor, Ronnie Moss, and CJ Jefferson as The Spinners continue to make music history today. A fan favorite, The Spinners continue to draw large crowds to sold out performances both at home and abroad. The group is currently on tour throughout the continental U.S. as well as Hawaii, throughout this summer and fall.
