Eugen Botos, es un joven y apasionado compositor, es un visionario musical con múltiples talentos que ha encontrado una manera de romper los límites y ha reunido los mundos a menudo injustamente separados de la fusión de jazz contemporáneo y la música pop urbana.

El amor por la música le fue confiado por su padre (violinista). Decidió que Eugen estudiaría violín y piano en el Conservatorio de Bratislava (1996-2002). Entre 2002 y 2005, amplió sus estudios de violín y piano en la Academia de Música y Artes Dramáticas. Ha ocupado el cargo de primer violinista en el Teatro Nacional Eslovaco desde 2005. En el conservatorio (2002) fundó una banda de jazz-funk titulada "Finalmente" con Robert Vizvari (bajista) y Martin Koleda (guitarrista). Todos se criaron en Chick Corea's Electric Band y Mark King's Level 42. Han abarcado los géneros musicales de la fusión contemporánea de jazz, R&B, funk, música pop urbana, hip-hop, etno y música latina. Eugen Botos y su música pueden verse definitivamente como una nueva energía fresca e innovadora en el género del jazz.

La banda se hizo más visible en 2008 cuando Eugen comenzó a colaborar con el famoso saxofonista estadounidense Eric Marienthal y finalmente se convirtió en su banda para conciertos europeos. En 2009, finalmente, con Eric Marienthal tuvo un gran éxito en el Bratislava Jazz Days Festival (Eslovaquia), donde presentaron su propia producción. Estas actuaciones los impulsaron a terminar su álbum debut llamado My Space (2010). También hay otros invitados famosos, grandes músicos, en este álbum como el bajista canadiense Alain Caron, el pianista venezolano Otmaro Ruiz, el bajista inglés Janek Gwizdala, el guitarrista austríaco Harri Stojka y el pianista estadounidense Peter Horvath. El álbum fue presentado en el Festival Internacional de Música de Praga Proms (CZ) en 2010 y su "Padrino" se convirtió en Eric Mariental. Este álbum fue el segundo álbum más vendido en Estados Unidos en 2010 en su género, se vendieron más de 19 000 copias. La canción Manhattan del mismo álbum se hizo muy famosa en las estaciones de jazz y jazz americano y japonés.

En 2011, la banda realizó una gira de conciertos en Eslovaquia con el gran músico Gary Bias, el saxofonista de la banda Earth Wind and Fire.

En 2012, se realizó una gira de conciertos con Eric Marienthal y el gran batería Eric Valentine en Europa Central. En esta compilación también se presentaron en el Spring Bratislava Jazz Days Festival en un escenario con el multi instrumentista Marcus Miller y su banda favorita, Level 42.

En 2013, Finally y Sheldon Reynolds tuvieron una gira de conciertos por toda Europa central y en 2014 la banda apareció nuevamente en Bratislava Jazz Days con el famoso batería eslovaco Stefan Bugala.

Debido a su talento, sus composiciones e interpretación se fusionaron en colaboraciones con Brian McKnight y Maysa Leak. Eugen compuso una balada de ensueño para una diva nominada al Grammy, Maysa Leak "Beautiful Dreamer", que fue la canción de apertura de su álbum "Blue Velvet Soul". En 2014 Eugen colaboró ​​con los legendarios Earth, Wind & Fire en su último álbum "Holiday".

Eugen Botos – a young passionate keybordist and composer is a multitalented musical visionary who has found a way to break down the boundaries and brought together the often unfairly separated worlds of contemporary jazz fusion and urban pop music.

The love for music was entrusted to him from his father (violinist). He decided Eugen would study violin and piano at the Bratislava Conservatory (1996-2002). Between 2002 and 2005, he furthered his studies of violin and piano at the Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. He has held the position of the first violinist in Slovak National Theatre since 2005. At the conservatory (2002) he founded a jazz-funk band titled “Finally“ with Robert Vizvari (bassist) and Martin Koleda (guitarist). All of them were brought up on Chick Corea´s Electric Band and Mark King´s Level 42. They has spanned the musical genres of contemporary jazz fusion, R&B, funk, urban pop music, hip-hop, etno and latin music. Eugen Botos and his music can be definitely seen as a new fresh and innovating energy in the jazz genre.

The band became more visible in 2008 when Eugen started to cooperate with famous American saxophonist Eric Marienthal and Finally became his band for European concerts. In 2009 Finally with Eric Marienthal had a great success on Bratislava Jazz Days Festival (SK) where they introduced their own production. These performances moved them forward to finish their debut album called My Space (2010). There are also another famous guests, great musicians, on this album as Canadian bassist Alain Caron, Venezuelan pianist Otmaro Ruiz, English bassist Janek Gwizdala, Austrian guitarist Harri Stojka and American pianist Peter Horvath. The album was presented on International Music Festival Prague Proms (CZ) in 2010 and his „Godfather“ became Eric Mariental. This album was second best selling album in America in 2010 in his genre, it was sold over 19 000 copies. The song Manhattan from the same album became very famous in American and Japanese smooth-jazz and jazz stations.

In 2011 the band Finally had a concert tour in Slovakia with great musician Gary Bias, the saxophonist from the band Earth Wind and Fire.

In 2012 Finally was made a concert tour with Eric Marienthal and great drummer Eric Valentine in the Central Europe. In this compilation they performed also on the Spring Bratislava Jazz Days Festival (SK) on one stage with the multi-instumentalist Marcus Miller and their best idol band Level 42.

In 2013 Finally and Sheldon Reynolds had a concert tour throughout central Europe and in 2014 the band appeared again at Bratislava Jazz Days with the famous slovakian drummer Stefan Bugala.

It´ s due to his talent that his compositions and interpretation was melted down into concessnes of Brian McKnight and Maysa Leak. Eugen composed a dreamy ballad for a Grammy nominated diva, Maysa Leak "Beautiful Dreamer" which was the opening track of her album “Blue Velvet Soul”. In 2014 Eugen collaborated with the legendary Earth, Wind & Fire on their latest album “Holiday”.

The second album by Eugen Botos & Finally "Final Definition" includes special guests such as: Brian McKnight, Maysa Leak, Sheldon Reynolds - singer of Eart Wind and Fire-, saxophonist Eric Marienthal, Angela Johnson, Jeff Lorber and bassist Marcus Miller among others.

Now he presents us with the launch of a live recording in the Blue Note with the collaboration in the battery of Pete Ray Biggin of Level 42.
