Jordi Esquerra
Feb. 5,2021
Independent guitarist, singer/songwriter and producer from Barcelona. Introduced to music from an early age, he began playing piano in the local conservatory, later moved to guitar and got into modern music.
After being in different bands as a guitarist and composer, on 2016 he debuts as a solo artist and starts to sing and produce his own songs that combine authentic groovy soul and R&B tunes with strong epic melodies moving the audience from a happy casual vibe and every-day-life lyrics to trascendence.
NOS is the acronym for “New Old Stock”, it defines the status of a product manufactured years ago but still in perfect shape as it’s still in its original package and therefore never used. These products are often highly appreciated, especially by collectors and nostalgics, as they may not be manufactured anymore.

SPONTANEOUS GROOVIN' COMBUSTION · SPONTANEOUS GROOVIN' COMBUSTION
Warren A. Keller
Feb. 5, 2021
The child of an elite pianist and teacher, and a world-class operatic baritone, Warren began playing and singing early. His father Howard Keller, blessed with an amazingly rich voice, studied with Carlton Gauld. His dear mother Roslyn, apprenticed with several luminaries: Anatole Kitain, Constance Keene, and her husband Abram Chasins. As a teacher, 'Roz' was responsible for forming the early careers of Joel Levine and Sting’s occasional accompanist, Ken Helman.
Warren Keller has sung, played woodwinds (tenor and alto saxophone, and flute), and written music in New York City and Nashville music scenes. Warren was fortunate enough to have studied with the late, great Kenny Davern, who began his career with Jack Teagarden, and was a multiple winner of the Downbeat Poll for soparano sax and clarinet. Three other master teachers were Gerry Orrico, gorgeous alto sax and alto flute player for the Tex Benecke Orchestra and The Stardust Hotel in Las Vegas, and vocal coach Marty Lawrence who taught everyone from Vicki Carr to David Coverdale, and guitar with Gary Talley of The Box Tops. To have benefited from their level of musicianship humbles him.

JACKS JAZZ · 52 IN A 35 ·RADIO SINGLE·
Independent
Jan. 18, 2021
Jack grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and the perfect environment for a young person with an interest in music. The area was home to many artists who worked in the city, as well as a center for many arts, music and performance education programs. It was there, at the young age of 8. Jack was blessed with the gift to play by ear, and with that he taught himself to play the guitar.
By the age of 13 Jack along with two of his cousins formed a group and started performing at local clubs, cabarets, school socials, and local festivals.
Jack took a break from playing out in the world, to support and raise his family, but even then he played guitar for his church. Jack also took this time to write songs as well.
In 2006 Jack returned to playing R&B, and Jazz with a few local bands. This is where he received his name Uncle Jack, playing with a lot of younger talented musicians who became his spiritual family.

ILYA SEROV · HEAT featuring DAVE KOZ ·RADIO SINGLE·
SILKY SOUND RECORDS
Jan 3, 2021
Trumpeter Ilya Serov has released his new original single HEAT this month, featuring platinum-selling saxophonist Dave Koz.
HEAT is a refreshingly youthful, original composition rooted in contemporary jazz, R&B and funk. While the single was conceived intuitively and on the spur of the moment, it took almost a decade to produce.
“Having been born and raised in Russia and spending so much time in the chilly northern city of St. Petersburg, I couldn’t get enough of the warm weather when I first came to California,” said Serov. “The palm trees, outdoor lifestyle, and music of so many diverse cultures were invigorating, and HEAT was conceived right then and there. However, it took many years of experimenting with styles to find my own voice and interpretation. I collaborated with fellow composer and talented guitarist Kay-Ta Matsuno to complete the single. I also included a number of percussion instruments as a nod to Latin and Caribbean music, which to me connote energy, passion, and the hot, sunny weather that inspired the composition.”
HEAT follows Serov’s original instrumental single, Chillin’, released in August 2020. It marks a new direction for the young artist, who is well known for his famous renditions of songs from the Big Band Era. Although his last two albums consisted of big band, swing, and straight-ahead jazz, Serov has always been an imaginative alchemist who has experimented with contemporary jazz, R&B, pop, and world music, as well.
The new track has an incredible lineup of musicians, and features saxophone great Dave Koz. “One of the highlights of the last decade for me has been my opportunity to collaborate with this amazing artist, whom I’ve admired for many years. It has been a dream come true,” exclaimed Serov. In a recording career that spans nearly three decades, Koz has racked up an astoundingly impressive array of honors and achievements: nine GRAMMY® nominations, 11 No. 1 albums on Billboard’s Current Contemporary Jazz Albums chart, numerous world tours, 13 sold-out Dave Koz & Friends at Sea cruises, performances for multiple U.S. Presidents, a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and appearances on a multitude of television shows.
