Escuchando el nuevo álbum de Roberto Tola, nos hemos encontrado inmersos en una aventura llena de colores tal y como así nos demuestra su título “Colors”.
Nuestra “aventura de colores” se inicia desde la frescura del primer acorde que escuchamos en “Time and Place”, y esto supone ir descubriendo la gran variedad que nos ofrece Roberto Tola a lo largo del álbum que, además cuenta con colaboraciones muy especiales.
Así nos encontramos con Baladas como “Sandro’s Song” (con Rocco Ventrella), “Laura” (con Mando Córdova); continuamos con, Latin Jazz con la frescura de “Coco Loco” (con Michael Lington); Smooth Jazz con la maravillosa “Time and Place” (con Darryl Walker) composición de Bill Sharpe y Jill Saward (Shakatak)completamente arreglada por Roberto Tola, que con sus notas frescas y rítmicas que querrás escuchar una y otra vez. En Time and Place, Roberto
Tola abre un diálogo con la guitarra y la sección de viento donde
encontramos a Ismael Dorado en el saxo y Jorge Ro a la trompeta.
El último de nuestros “Colores” es el toque brasileño con “Preludio” (con Paula Atherton en la flauta, Juan Carlos Mendoza al bajo y Mickey Martinez a la batería) finalizando el álbum con “Helwa Ya Baladi”, tema absolutamente maravilloso que hace que quieras volver a escuchar “Colors” desde la primera canción.
“Colors” es una
maravillosa aventura que estará disponible el próximo 29 de mayo y ya se
ha convertido en el próximo álbum imprescindible en cualquier colección. Un
deber tenerlo.

Listening Roberto Tola's new album, we have found ourselves immersed in an "adventure" full of colors, as its title “Colors” shows us.
Our "adventure of colors" begins from the freshness of the first chord we hear in "Time and Place", and this means discovering the great variety that Roberto Tola offers us throughout the album, which also has very special collaborations.
You can find Baladas such as “Sandro’s Song” (with Rocco Ventrella), “Laura” (with Mando Córdova); continuing with Latin Jazz with the cool "Coco Loco" (with Michael Lington); Smooth Jazz with the amazing "Time and Place" (with Darryl Walker). It was writing by Bill Sharpe and Jill Saward (Shakatak)
and completely arranged by Roberto Tola, with its fresh and rhythmic notes that you will want to listen to again and again. In Time and Place, Roberto Tola opens a dialogue with the guitar and the wind section where we find Ismael Dorado on the sax and Jorge Ro on the trumpet.
The last of our "Colors" is the Brazilian touch with "Prelude" (with Paula Atherton on the flute, Juan Carlos Mendoza on bass and Mickey Martinez on drums) and the end of the album with "Helwa Ya Baladi", an absolutely wonderful song that you will want to listen to "Colors" again from the first song.
"Colors" is a wonderful adventure that will be available on May 29 and has already become the next essential album in any collection. A must have.
