Viajar a Mallorca para estar una semana y disfrutar de un festival como Mallorca Smooth Jazz Festival no deja de ser una experiencia que, sin duda, va más allá de lo extraordinario. Una experiencia sabores de smooth jazz, soul y funk, que nos ofrece anualmente desde el año 2012, siendo ésta su octava edición.

Lo que jamás podrías imaginar en un concierto, lo encontrarás aquí.
Lo más destacable es la convivencia con tus ídolos musicales en el mismo hotel. Tan pronto puedes estar desayunando al lado de un guitarrista o saxofonista, bien bebiendo unas cervezas con un trompetista o un teclista.
Hay una sintonía increíble entre los músicos y sus fans. Ellos
están allí para disfrutar de unos días llenos de sabores musicales. Estas vivencias no solo estimulan a todos aquellos que asistimos a el Festival, también estimula al músico dando en el escenario todo lo que trae en su “gran mochila musical”, consiguiendo que afloren unas muy lindas sensaciones en todos los que allí nos reunimos.

Siempre se dice que la música no conoce idiomas y aquí no podía ser diferente. Sabéis que no entiendo ni hablo inglés, pero gracias a Nuria y a José, las conversaciones con los músicos, las entrevistas y los saludos que tuvieron a bien grabar para nosotros, fueron geniales. Cuando andaba solo y me cruzaba con ellos, el traductor que tengo era mi herramienta a la que echar mano…y ellos alucinaban.

Cada día acababa siempre en el mismo lugar de reunión. Después de los conciertos, nos veíamos en el Piano Bar, donde contábamos con Richard Edwards como DJ, amenizando el final del día hasta las 2 o las 3 de la madrugada. Momentos necesarios para, entre amenas charlas, poder asimilar lo vivido momentos antes.

En fin, ya queda menos para el próximo año. Ya ha empezado la cuenta atrás.
Desde estas líneas queremos dedicar un agradecimiento muy especial por su atención con nosotros durante estos días a Chieli Minucci, James Lloyd y Pieces of a Dream, Steve Oliver, Matthias Beckmann, Rob y Tony de Four80East, Bart Brandjes, Oli Silk, Rob Zinn…y sin querer olvidarme de nadie, de todos los músicos que de una forma u otra han hecho grande una vez más este Festival

What you could never imagine in a concert, you will find here.
The most remarkable thing is the coexistence with your musical idols in the same hotel. As soon as you can be having breakfast next to a guitarist or saxophonist, either drinking a few beers with a trumpeter or a keyboardist. There is an incredible harmony between the musicians and their fans. They are there to enjoy a few days full of musical flavors. These experiences not only stimulate all those who attend the Festival, it also stimulates the musician by giving on stage everything that he brings in his "big musical backpack", getting out some very nice sensations in all that

It is always said that music does not know languages and here it could not be different. You know that I do not understand or speak English, but thanks to Nuria and José, the conversations with the musicians, the interviews and the greetings that they had to record for us, were great. When I was walking alone and I crossed paths with them, the translator I have was my tool to reach for ... and they hallucinated.
Every day it always ended in the same place of meeting. After the concerts, we would see each other at the Piano Bar, where we had Richard Edwards as a DJ, entertaining the end of the day until 2 or 3 in the morning. Moments necessary for, between entertaining talks, to be able to assimilate what was lived moments before.
In short, there is less left for next year. The countdown has already begun.
From these lines we would like to dedicate a very special thank you for your attention with us during these days to Chieli Minucci, James Lloyd and Pieces of a Dream, Steve Oliver, Matthias Beckmann, Rob and Tony of Four80East, Bart Brandjes, Oli Silk, Rob Zinn ... and without wanting to forget anyone, of all the musicians who in one way or another have made this Festival once again great
