“Told You Straight” is the second single from Martin & Garp’s upcoming debut album “Sentimental Fools”, which will be released in January 2021.
Phil Martin, one half of Martin & Garp together with singer Lo van Gops, says about “Sentimental Fools”: “I think it’s soulful and groovy stuff with some proper songwriting. Somewhere between Hall & Oates, Bill LaBounty, Doobie Brothers and I think even some Average White Band will be heard on the album – to name a few references. It’s been fully arranged with tasteful keys and guitar lines. Lots of percussion and backing vocal harmonies.”
