Se puede encontrar mucha inspiración en un ambiente tranquilo en su nuevo estudio de grabación portugués, ubicado en un entorno idílico entre Lagos y Sagres. "A partir de un sinfín de ideas, elegimos a mano esas pocas canciones que permiten que el sol brille más".
La primera canción fue "Never Roam No More“ con John Lee Hooker. La segunda canción es "Ain't Nobody's Business" con Billie Holiday.
La combinación única de las influencias del soul, jazz, funk, blues, bossanova, afro y caribeño de Bahama Soul Club los ha colocado firmemente en el mapa como uno de los grupos contemporáneos más emocionantes.
Liderada por el productor y músico alemán Oliver Belz, la banda comenzó en 2005 bajo el antiguo nombre de The Juju Orchestra. Los primeros singles fueron "Kind Of Latin Rhythm"/"Funky Nassau" lanzado en 2006, que se convirtió en un gran éxito mundial, yendo directamente al N.1 en las listas de clubes alemanes y permaneciendo allí durante más de 12 semanas. Supported by finest Algarvian vinhos, The BSC are working on their new album. A lot of relaxed inspiration to be found in the tranquillo environment of their new Portuguese recording studio, located in an idyllic countryside setting between Lagos and Sagres. „From endless ideas, we handpicked those few songs that let the sun shine through the most."

Bahama Soul Club’s unique blend of soul, jazz, funk, blues, bossanova, afro and Caribbean influences has firmly put them on the map as one of the most exciting contemporary outfits.
Led by German producer and musician Oliver Belz, the band started in 2005 under the former name of The Juju Orchestra. The first 45 was double-sider “Kind Of Latin Rhythm” / “Funky Nassau” released in 2006, which became a huge worldwide success, going straight to N.1 on the German Club Charts and staying there for more than 12 weeks. The following album “Bossa Nova Is Not A Crime” was released in 2007 with guest vocals from soul-jazz crooner Terry Callier, Carolyn Leonhart, from Steely Dan and the lovely Katia B from Sao Paulo, whose cut became a smash hit in the worldwide club jazz scene and again reached the official media control Jazz Charts at #2.

It soon became the band’s biggest success with radio features on ALL german public radio stations and countless “CD of the month” / “Album of the year” features worldwide, along with many chart entries.
2013 saw the band release their third album, “The Cuban Tapes“, an exotic blend of Cuban rhythms and tropical flavors executed with the trademark Bahama Soul Club style. This full-length once again featured a host of talented vocal guests such as Danay Suarez, Arema Arega & Telmary Diaz from the contemporary Cuban scene, 3 generations of american soul singers Bessie Smith, Spanky Wilson and Ruthie Foster, and Anna Luca from Club Des Belugas.
Following in the footsteps of their previous album in paying homage to Cuba, fourth full-length “Havana ’58“ was released in 2016 once again featured some of Cuba’s leading talent with vocal quartet Sexto Sentido appearing on 3 tracks, the vivacious Olvido Ruiz, singer in the Bahama Soul Club live band, on another 3 and recurring Bahama collaborator Arema Arega on one.
Now 4 albums deep and with fans worldwide clamoring for more, in 2020 the time has come for a new full-length, which Bahama Soul Club promptly deliver in the form of “Bohemia After Dawn”: 10 sun-soaked songs and 2 remixes, which once again confirm Bahama Soul Club‘s ranking at the forefront of the club jazz scene for many years to come!
