Classically trained Soul Jazz flautist, vocalist, and composer Ragan Whiteside is at it again with her latest release, "Off The Cuff", poised to continue her streak of 6 consecutive Billboard Top 10 Hits: "JJ's Strut", "Reminiscing", "Jam It", "Early Arrival", "See You At The Get Down", "and Billboard #1 and Smooth Jazz Network's song of the year "Corey's Bop," which made Ragan the first female flautist to hold the #1 spot on 3 major smooth jazz charts simultaneously. For the second consecutive year, Ragan is also Billboard's top female Smooth Jazz Songs Chart artist of the year. In the male-dominated genre in which only three females made it into the year-end top 10, Whiteside came in at No. 5 for 2020. The previous year, the Atlanta-based musician-songwriter checked in at No. 3.

As any composer will tell you, some songs take months to develop while other songs seem to write themselves. It's exciting and inspiring to work on one of those songs that seem to sense its own rhythm and feel-good vibes and just comes alive. "Off The Cuff" takes the listener on a journey from "feel good" to "feel great", whether they are on that first climb in spin class or the last mile of a long road tip.

"She has made the flute an integral part of this format," said veteran sax player Walter Beasley of her work, "Huge!"

In addition to performer and composer, Ragan has added radio personality to her repertoire. She can be heard on WCLK 91.9FM, Atlanta's Jazz Station.
